Thanksgiving in January

The MBE cohort decided to have Thanksgiving in January since we had a bunch of Thanksgiving food in our cupboards.

The turkey was seasoned, as follows, by this recipe:

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 (12 pound) whole turkey
(And following the oven temp. listed on the turkey.)

This makes a great seasoning for chicken, too.

But, my favorite of all, is the picture of Matt and me:
I think Corey was pretty impressed :) I'm not sure if more so by our matching slippers, or matching sweaters ;)
